For more than 23 years, I have dedicated my life to public education as a teacher, administrator, and educational leader. Throughout my career, I have encouraged students to dream big and pursue higher education while quietly holding onto a dream of my own: earning a Doctor of Education (Ed.D.) degree. Today, I am pursuing that dream through the application process for an Ed.D. program in Educational Leadership for Equity and Social Change. As a first-generation doctoral student, this journey represents far more than a degree. It represents perseverance, lifelong learning, and a commitment to serving students, educators, and communities at an even deeper level.
Like many educators, I have balanced professional responsibilities, family obligations, and financial realities. While I am committed to investing in my own education, the cost of a doctoral program exceeds what I can comfortably manage alone. Support will help offset tuition, books, technology, research expenses, and other program-related costs should I be admitted.
My goal is not simply to earn a title, but to become a stronger advocate, leader, and servant of the communities I have dedicated my career to supporting. Every contribution, no matter the amount, brings me one step closer to becoming the first person in my family to earn a doctorate. If you are unable to give, sharing this campaign is greatly appreciated. Thank you for believing in education, opportunity, and lifelong learning.
