I have spent the last 10 years serving East LA, first as a Behavioral Technician working with children and adults with learning and physical disabilities, then as a case manager at a homeless shelter, and now as a clinical intern. I am currently in my final semester of the Master of Social Work program at CSULA, but an unexpected financial aid gap has put my graduation in jeopardy.
To remain enrolled, I must render $4500 to the school by February 8th - if not, I will be dropped from my final semester. This obstacle is not just a potential devastation to me, but to the offices and clients in need of specialized care.
I am a first-generation student fighting to bring my expertise back to our streets. Your donation doesn't just pay a bill; it ensures that a dedicated local advocate stays in the field.
Please help me walk across that stage this May, and thank you for your support.
