my name is lucy rattner and i am a 21 year old student at suny purchase. i am directing my first short film—that i wrote myself!—and am looking to fund it.

i have wanted to direct my whole life. it started out of dreaming to direct musicals when i was younger. as i grew older and watched more and more film i realized i wanted to direct a movie. one of my majors at school is screenwriting, as telling stories is a huge passion of mine.

i spent most of 2024 struggling with an eating disorder. as i sought to shrink myself, thinking about and fearing food & eating took over the majority of my life. DAUGHTER DEVOUR is a short film about the act of eating, and how it can feel primal and animalistic; the most basic of human needs.

i am looking to raise money in order to pay for props, costumes, and random supplies/equipment. even the tiniest contribution would mean the world to me <3
