Help A Filker Replace Stolen Electronics

The Filk family have come together to meet this challenge and more.   As we thank all those who have contributed by donating, spreading the word or more, any additional funds raised will help with secondary bills created by the loss, support buying Improved replacements or cover the costs of her Fandom.

Fallon is a musician who was travelling from her home to a music event in Columbus, Ohio. Because she was born blind, she needs various devices to help her be effective, both in her musical hobbies, as well as while working, or generally in life.

 

Sadly, along the trip to Columbus, one of her bags was stolen. That bag contained her electronics. While Fallon has a job, and bank account, she doesn't have a few thousand dollars sitting around to replace these items.

 

Fallon could eventually save up and replace the devices stolen, but we are a family and we want to make it easier for her. We want her to suffer as little as possible despite her losses. If the donations go over what is needed, the excess will be used to replace what was lost with better items.

 

The key items we would like to help Fallon replace are:

1) A "focus 40 blue" Braille device (can cost up to $4,000 alone!)

2) A full-sized WiFi/Cellular IPad

3) Recovery of the cost for lost medications

4) Personal goods in the bag of great sentimental value, also lost along with the electronics.

 

As I said, we are a family and this member of our family could use a hand. Let's see what our community can do to band together and help.
