I have been monitoring a feral cat in my neighborhood for at least four months. He has an open eye socket that is clearly infected and weeping, and he struggles to see. Over time, I’ve noticed he is losing weight and has recently started drooling, which could mean he has dental issues or other health concerns that need urgent attention. Despite calling Animal Control many times, no one has ever shown up to help.
With summer approaching and fly strike season on the horizon, I am deeply worried about the risk of him going septic or developing maggots in the open wound on his head. My goal is to get him seen by a vet and into a foster home before these risks become reality. He needs surgery to close the eye socket, antibiotics to treat the infection, and a thorough veterinary exam to address any other issues.
The funds raised will go directly toward his veterinary care, surgery, and recovery. Any support, big or small, will help give this cat a chance at a healthy life. Thank you for caring and sharing this story. Your kindness means the world to both of us.
