I want to share with you about a good friend of mine, a lone soldier, originally from Miami, with hundreds of days of reserve service. He was severely injured by a grenade explosion in Gaza and is currently in recovery.

The injury happened right as his apartment lease ended — just after he moved into a new place. Since then, he has been hospitalized, and all he has from the apartment are the keys.

All of his belongings are still packed in bags, and as a lone soldier with no family in Israel, he has no one to help him.

We want to help him — to take the burden off his shoulders. Our goal is to furnish his home so that when he leaves the hospital, he’ll have a real place to return to.
