Help a Fellow Cyclist See the Road Again
We’re rallying the cycling community — friends, riders, and strangers alike — to help one of our own.
My dear friend, business partner, and fellow cyclist has been quietly battling a worsening cataract in one of his eyes. He’s only in his late 30s, but his vision has been deteriorating rapidly, making it harder and more dangerous to ride. Anyone who’s ever flown down a descent or weaved through a city street knows how essential good vision is — not just for performance, but for safety, freedom, and joy.
He’s the OG creator of BIKE BUDS — someone who lives for the ride, lives for the people, and shows up for the community, even when things are hard. Now, it’s our turn to show up for him.
Unfortunately, he doesn’t have the insurance or savings to cover the cataract surgery he urgently needs. The longer this goes untreated, the harder it becomes to reverse — and the greater the risk that he’ll lose more of his eyesight permanently.
That’s why we’re asking for help — from fellow cyclists, from anyone who’s felt the wind in their face and knows what it means to move forward — clearly.
Our goal is to raise $5,500 to cover:
The full cost of surgery for one eye
Pre-op and follow-up care
Necessary Prescriptions
Every dollar helps. Every share helps. Every gesture of solidarity helps.
Let’s do what the cycling community does best — pull together, ride hard for each other, and never leave anyone behind.
If you can contribute, thank you. If you can share, thank you. If you’re reading this — thank you for caring.
