Hello, my name is Michael Jordan-Romero. I sell motorcycles for a living and have been riding for almost 25 years of my life. I was recently in my first almost fatal motorcycle crash on Sunday the morning of 01•08•2023. I was riding with my friends on our way to grab breakfast together when I came across an endangering situation in which I needed to swerve out of harms way. In attempting to do so, I believed that there was another fellow biker to the right of me and I was not able to exit on time without endangering him as well as myself. Not having any other options, I decided to hit the car in front of me full force and head on, knowing very well the risks and my chances of survival.

I am now in one of South Florida’s many hospital’s where I have been diagnosed with a fractured wrist and a fractured pelvis. I needed surgery where they had to put a plate and screws in both my wrist and pelvis. I needed stitches on my cheek and above my upper lip. My eye is bruised to the point it was closed and secreting liquid. I have road rash on both my arms, and a huge road rash across the side of my back. I also have road rash on both my legs and feet. My ankles and feet are also swollen to the point I cannot stand yet.

With all of this being said, I do not have health insurance to cover my recovery.

I am not sure when I will be able to go home. As of right now I am still trying to stand and might have to leave the hospital in a wheelchair. Please help support my recovery. That being said any amount of support is very much appreciated by me and my family as well. Thank you very much.

Hola, mi nombre es Michael Jordan-Romero. Me gano la vida vendiendo motocicletas y he estado montando durante casi 25 años de mi vida. Recientemente estuve en mi primer accidente de motocicleta casi fatal el domingo por la mañana del 01•08•2023. Viajaba con mis amigos en nuestro camino para desayunar juntos cuando me encontré con una situación peligrosa en la que necesitaba desviarme del peligro. Al intentar hacerlo, creí que había otra moto a mi derecha y no podía salir a tiempo sin ponerlo en peligro a él y a mí mismo. Al no tener otras opciones, decidí golpear el auto por detras con todas mis fuerzas y seguir adelante, sabiendo muy bien los riesgos y mis posibilidades de supervivencia.

Ahora estoy en el hospital donde me han diagnosticado una muñeca fracturada y una pelvis fracturada. Necesitaba una cirugía donde me tuvieron que poner una placa y tornillos tanto en la muñeca como en la pelvis. Necesitaba puntos en la mejilla y encima del labio superior. Mi ojo está magullado hasta el punto de cerrarse y secretar líquido. Tengo sarpullido en ambos brazos y un enorme sarpullido en el costado de la espalda. También tengo sarpullido en las piernas y los pies. Mis tobillos y pies también están hinchados hasta el punto de que no puedo estar de pie todavía.

No Habiendo dicho todo esto, no tengo seguro médico para cubrir mi recuperación.

No estoy seguro de cuándo podré volver a casa. En este momento todavía estoy tratando de ponerme de pie y es posible que tenga que salir del hospital en silla de ruedas.
