Elikplim is a devoted father and full-time student studying religion and the Hebrew Bible, determined to create a better future for his five-year-old daughter. Originally from Ghana, he seeks to place the Hebrew Bible in critical dialogue with African knowledge systems. He hopes to return home after his studies to make his work meaningful not only in the academy but also for his community. However, medical insurance bills have left him with $3,000 in debt, and despite his best efforts, he hasn’t been able to secure work while attending school. Your generosity can help lift this burden.
I met Elikplim while studying at Union Theological Seminary, where we shared several classes and bonded over our time learning Biblical Hebrew together. His passion for his studies and his persistence have always inspired me. As his friend and classmate, I can’t stand to see this debt weigh down him and his family, especially when he’s working so hard toward a meaningful future.
Thank you for your willingness to help our friend, and thank you for any amount you are able to give! If you can’t donate at this time, please share as you are able.
