Friday July 8th the life of Iban and his family changed forever

On his way back home to see his 3 year old daughter, Iban was struck by a semi truck while he was on his Motorcycle. He was not able to make it back home to his daughter in one piece. The impact required him to go to the ER in Laredo, TX then be flown out to San Antonio, Tx for emergency midnight surgery. The injuries he sustained were severe, causing loss of blood and multiple broken bones. After several hours of surgery, despite their best efforts, the doctors were unable to save his entire leg and were forced to amputate his lower left leg and foot.

We are all grateful he came out with his life but as we all know, medical bills are not cheap and this life change will impact many different avenues not only for himself but for his daughter and family as well.

For those of you who know Iban, no description is needed about how just how great of a person he is. For those who haven’t had the pleasure, he is the one you call when things get tough because you know he won’t let you down. The person who will give you the shirt off his back (take it from me, I still got the shirt) and never even mention it to you. The person that when you’re down on your luck, shows up without asking to help you find a way and get through it without ever throwing it in your face or even asking for a thing in return. There are countless stories of people he has helped and lives he has positively impacted, but you’ll never hear him saying any of them because he does it all from the heart not for the recognition. The same man he has been to those of us blessed to know him, is only outdone by the man and role model he is to his little angel of a daughter. It breaks his heart that he can’t be with her right now but that only motivates him to be better through adversity.

As of today 7/10 he is still in the ICU and has a tremendous uphill battle incoming. Given his situation he will not be able to work for a good while and we want to help ease this time and make sure money is the least of his worries given all he has coming his way. Please donate what you can as every cent will help his family tremendously and is greatly appreciated by Iban and his family.
