My daughter was my only child, and losing her to a violent crime two years ago changed my life forever. I have struggled every day with the pain of not being able to protect her. As a father, you do everything you can to keep your children safe, and I feel like I let her down. Now, the man responsible for her death is finally going to trial in Boston, nearly 2,000 miles from my home in Oklahoma. I live on a fixed income, and there is no state funding available to help me travel or stay in Boston for the trial.
I am determined to be there when justice is served for my daughter. I plan to ride my Harley to Boston to save on gas, but I will still need help with travel and accommodations for the duration of the trial. I don't know anyone in the Boston area, and I know that staying there will be much more expensive than what I'm used to in Oklahoma. Being present at the trial is something I need to do as a father, to honor my daughter's memory and to find some sense of closure.
Any support you can give would mean the world to me. Your help will allow me to be there for my daughter one last time and to see justice done. Thank you for reading my story and for considering a donation to help me on this difficult journey.
