Help a Grieving Father Return Home to Say Goodbye to His Son

On Wednesday, 3 June 2026, our family suffered an unimaginable loss.

Our beloved Lemarsh Wanya Blanckenberg was tragically taken from us in Paarl, South Africa. At just 20 years old, he had his whole life ahead of him. He was a cherished son, grandson, nephew, cousin, and friend whose memory will forever remain in our hearts.

As our family mourns this devastating loss, we face another heartbreaking challenge. Lemarsh’s father is currently in Spain, thousands of kilometres away from home. In the midst of his grief, he is desperately trying to return to South Africa to be with his family, honour his son’s memory, and say a final goodbye.

The sudden and unexpected nature of this tragedy has left him without the means to cover the urgent travel expenses needed to get home in time.

We are therefore reaching out to friends, family, and kind-hearted people for support. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, will go directly toward helping a grieving father return home during the most difficult moment of his life.
