My name is Pankajbhai, and I came to Canada on a visitor visa to spend time with my son, hoping to create memories and moments together in a new country. Just as we were preparing to activate my health insurance coverage, the unthinkable happened — I suffered a sudden heart attack.

The emergency required immediate hospitalization and treatment. Since I did not yet have valid health insurance in place, I was left with a medical bill totaling CAD $20,678.54
