My name is Ibrahim. I live in Gaza, and I am the father of four beautiful children: Jouri, who is eight years old and dreams of being a teacher; Mohammed, who is seven and loves to build things with his hands; little Marah, who is four and full of questions about everything; and my baby boy Sand, not even two years old yet, who only knows a world of rubble and sirens.

Since the blockade tightened, life has become unbearable. We no longer speak of living, we speak of surviving. There is no work. There is no safety. Even the most basic necessities, food, clean water, and medicine, are scarce or unaffordable. Every morning, I wake up not knowing how I will feed my children that day.

My wife and I do everything we can to shield our children from the fear and the hunger, but they see it in our eyes. I see Jouri pretend to be full so her younger siblings can eat. I see Mohammed asking me if things will ever be "normal" again. I don't know how to answer him.

The truth is: I cannot do this alone. I am turning to you, to anyone who still sees us as human, as parents, as children who deserve to grow, to laugh, to live.
