On Thanksgiving morning, a local Hackensack Family suffered a heartbreaking loss....

A beautiful wife and devoted mother of six gained her wings after a long, painful battle with cancer. The kids not only lost their mother… they watched her suffer, day after day, before she passed away. The emotional trauma and heartbreak they carry is something no child should ever endure.

She leaves behind her husband, and their six children five girls ages 9, 11, 12, 13, and 16, and one son, 18.

Their mother was the center of their world, the one who kept the home running, the one who gave them comfort, stability, and love. Now, this father is trying to hold everything together alone while grieving his wife and caring for six children who are hurting more than words can express.

Now, Oscar is facing the unimaginable trying to be both mother and father while holding onto his job and giving the kids as much stability as he can. He doesn’t drive, and his wife used to take him to work every day. Since her health declined, he has been walking to and from work to keep food on the table, transportation is a daily struggle. He is doing everything he can, but the realities of raising six kids while grieving and trying to stay afloat have become overwhelming.

These kids are humble, grateful, and truly appreciative of even the simplest things. But the financial pressure on Oscar has become overwhelming. Since his wife could no longer work after her diagnosis, the family has been struggling to cover daily expenses and prepare for the future.
