Hi, my name is Cristina , and I’m writing this as a daughter/sister who is asking for help during one of the hardest moments my family has ever faced.

On a Friday night, my father, Mario, and my brother, Samuel, were on their way home when they were hit by a drunk driver. In an instant, everything changed. Both of them were seriously injured and are currently hospitalized. Doctors have told us it will be months before they are able to walk, and they will require extensive rehabilitation and constant care.

We are beyond grateful that they are alive. That alone is a miracle we hold onto every day. But I know the road ahead is unknown, long, and overwhelming.

My father is the sole provider for our household. He is responsible for the mortgage, bills, and everyday living expenses. He also relied on his car for work—and that car was completely totaled at the scene of the accident. With both my dad and my brother unable to work for the foreseeable future, we are facing not only mounting medical bills, but also the reality of how we will manage basic living expenses in the coming months.

The funds raised will go toward:

• Medical bills and hospital expenses

• Rehabilitation and physical therapy

• Mortgage and household bills

• Transportation and everyday necessities while my dad is unable to work
