I am raising money for my dear friend and neighbor, whose son, Declan, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer. Declan is one of Micah‘s very good friends. Here is an excerpt from one of her recent Facebook posts about his diagnosis and the needs of their family.

“Asking for Support During a Difficult Season. As some of you know, my son is currently undergoing chemotherapy for Acute T-Cell Lymphoblastic Lymphoma Leukemia. This has been the hardest battle of our lives physically, emotionally, and financially. We’ve spent countless days and nights in the hospital, and watching him fight with so much strength has been both heartbreaking and inspiring.

With the intensity of his treatment, our family’s expenses have grown in ways we never prepared for hospital stays, travel back and forth, parking, meals, missed work… it all adds up so quickly.

I understand this time of year is tough for so many already. The holidays bring extra financial pressure for everyone, and asking for help is never easy. But if you’re able whether it’s a donation, sharing this post, or keeping us in your prayers it would mean more than words can say. Every bit of support lightens the load and helps us stay focused on what matters most: my son’s healing and strength.
