A dear friend of mine and his family are going through an incredibly difficult time. Recently, he suffered a serious heart attack and is now preparing to undergo double or possibly triple bypass surgery. This has understandably placed a huge strain on both his health and his family’s wellbeing.

He has been working as a support assistant on a zero-hours contract, a position that unfortunately does not provide sick pay or financial security during times of illness. With his income suddenly cut off, his family is struggling to cover essential living costs such as food, bills, and other basic needs.

Despite the challenges, he and his wife are doing their best to stay positive and strong for their children, but the financial hardship has become overwhelming.

Any contribution - no matter how small - will make a real difference. For those who are able, even modest ongoing support can provide a vital safety net during his recovery and while the family rebuilds stability. Regular contributions, however small, help ensure that their essential needs are met consistently as he focuses on healing.
