UPDATE: Yocheved Chaya passed away yesterday Jan 23rd 2026

I dont know where to begin... I dont know where to end. Honestly, I just dont know. For 5 months we all rallied to help my sister and brother in law stay afloat while they supported their newborn daughter, Yocheved Chaya, in the NICU. Words cannot express the sorrow I feel even writing these words let alone speaking them out loud. Yesterday, Yocheved passed away after a long battle. This sweet baby gave it all she had. Now I ask that we step up more than ever to support Galee and Dovid in their time of unimaginable pain. As they endure something that no parent should, lets ensure that they know how loved they are and that they aren't alone. I struggle for the rights words because the truth is, they aren't any. So instead, I ask that we turn those empty spaces into actions and come together to give them the only thing we can right now, support. Let's lessen their burden just a little bit the only way we can. Parents who endure loss should never feel alone at a time like this. Additionally, Dovids father passed away 2 days before Yocheved, only adding to the financial strain of paying for his funeral costs as well as the pain of losing a parent on top of losing a child....a daughter....a baby.

This situation has placed a heavy emotional and financial burden on Galee and Dovid. Dovid, who runs his own small business, has been unable to work as he normally would, leaving them struggling to keep up with their bills while also caring for their other children at home. They are incredibly humble and have found it difficult to ask for help, which is why we’re quietly reaching out on their behalf. We kindly ask that you keep this effort within our circle and respect their privacy.
