We are a small family of 3: A mother and two children. We fled domestic violence and I did not abandon our animals! We need help restarting in our new home.
Please consider helping us get a TV console table. Our TV is balancing between two very convenient night stands that served as our individual dinner tables. No, it's not a perfect set up but after loosing everything when we escaped the abuse 1200 miles away from here, having two night stands as dinner tables was much more peaceful than the environment we left.
For two months we struggled hard but this mama right here made sure we had food and a bath and a roof over our head EVERY NIGHT. Every evening that passed, my toddler was trying her very best to find enjoyment in things but still came up bored. When boredom was her biggest complaint that she voiced I felt relieved knowing that her necessities were taken care of. We finally got our TV. If you could only understand the emotional and mental value of entertainment or understand what it's like when you and your kids go without it, then I hope you understand the relief I felt when I was able to see my daughter dancing to Monster high and all of us singing with huge smiles on our faces. Even the 1 year old practicing her harmonizing as she made a perfectly shaped "o" and singing "oooooo" right along with our words. Do you know I actually cried here in joy and relief knowing we were finally safe and finally home. Everyday my toddler is learning more of her abc's. The TV actually has helped with that in addition to the vtech abc bookbag I was able to get her with my paycheck that comes once a month.
It's a long road till we have complete comfort, but it will all come together. I know this.
But if you could possibly help us by either donating an entertainment center to us that way our TV can set on something secure or consider donating to our gofundme so we may be able to purchase an inexpensive one ourselves.
Things like this are important to me because the smiles I see on my children's faces are beautiful and priceless. Singing to Pocahontas colors of the wind please help us get a stable sturdy table for our TV.

After reaching out to Forgotten Felines of Forsyth to have our cats spayed/neutered and all vaccinations, I got in contact with the volunteers at AARF and then Carol from Humane Solutions who helped me apply for assistance for a foster program for domestic violence victims. We applied and were accepted into an organization in North Carolina called PawAlliance. My cats were there from the end of December thru January and up to the end of February.
After spending 2 months in domestic violence shelters, our car breaking down, getting not only us to safety but also our furbabies, we made it to safety 1200 miles away. We have our home. And we have eachother.
I am so incredibly thankful for those of you that have donated for the gas fare to bring our Cats home from North Carolina. And we appreciate so much the donations that has helped with the pet deposit to be allowed to have them here with us. They truly are loved here and so we want to say thank you for helping us reunite with our furbabies.
Our struggles are not over yet. We hope someone can help us get a new (used) vehicle. We desperately need one.

It was time to leave. My husband had just gotten released from Prison for kidnapping me and strangling me. The law pretty much gave him a pop on his hand when they sentenced him to only 8 months. I have two children and we had 5 Cats. The day following his release, my children and I left home and we did not come back without the sherriffs and a domestic violence protective order. Thankfully, the judge that granted the order also gave possession of our marital home to me for the sole purpose of caring for our animals. The dvpo was served to my husband but remaining in our home was still unsafe so we resided at the shelter. He had moved into the property next door and everything about this man was dangerous. Still, we love our cats so much that we drove from the dv women and children shelter to care for our animals almost daily. The trip was 45 minutes twice a day. This we did for two weeks straight. I had no idea where to begin in all this but I was not going to allow our cats to go hungry or get hurt by leaving them outside. I Did Not abandon our furbabies. On December 13th, a lady named Marla Torrence from Fogotten Felines of Forsyth met me and the sherriffs at our home to take our kitties to be spayed/neutered and to receive vaccinations so I would have a better possibility of finding them a foster home. They also got microchipped so they wouldn't get lost in case they got out of the house during our absence. The tips of one of their ears was also clipped in case they got out so animal control wouldn't mess with them. We fed and watered our cats and changed their liter almost every day, scared out of my mind because the abuser lived so close by. With help from the sherriffs, From December 13th to December 26th we made this drive. By this time the electricity was disconnected and the water was turned off. Im guessing my husband turned the water off because we never returned home. On December 26th, PawAlliance met us at our house to pick up all 5 of our kitties because they were accepted into the foster program. I was so relieved. I couldn't bare to know my cats were still at the home next door to our abuser. It was so difficult to check on our cats everyday carrying two children with me. Two of our cats we had to surrender, one of which because of much needed medical care for an absess that had formed on his chin but at that time, providing for my children and finding safety meant leaving everything we owned behind so financially I wouldnt had been able to afford the veterinary care he needed. With a heavy heart we surrendered him to someone who could provide that immediate medical care. 90 minute trips everyday for two weeks was too much on our vehicle. Three days after our animals went into the foster program, the car broke down with transmission failure. Thank God everyone of us and our furbabies were safe when it did. When God moves for you, his timing is perfect and His plan is always perfectly on time.
Fixing the car would cost more than I make on disability. But I'm a mother with two children, and one of those children is disabled with epilepsy. We need a vehicle. My children need me to have a vehicle. Please help this be possible for us. We need you.
