Please add our family to your prayers…I’m not sure John and I can take much more.

As many of you know we have been building a new home, as I physically could not continue to live in a multi level home…due to my injuries from the car accident years ago when Jordyn and I were hit head on by and uninsured driver.

Today we received a call from our neighbors that water was running off our property down the road. A pipe came apart in the kitchen and flooded the ENTIRE HOME!!! We are guessing our home was gushing water for about 8hrs. OUR BRAND NEW HOME IS COMPLETELY RUINED!!!

We haven’t even fully taken possession of the house nor moved in…we brought our camper from Dad’s house to the property on Labor Day so Jordyn could catch the bus to school each day.

When we called our contractor about the water damage, they immediately say they are not responsible, it’s the company that installed our drinking water system. All I know is someone is responsible and it is not me! I called my home owners company and will be contacting my attorney first thing in the morning. Since allegedly no one is responsible, here we are paying out of pocket for a restoration company to come help us! The few things that we have moved in are completely ruined!

We have been “homeless” since April and have no end in sight now. Since the home is a new build, our mortgage payments have been in effect since day one. Our goal was to be moved in by August so we could then sell our Dad’s home to help cover the cost of the new home…well now we can’t do that as we have to move back to Dad’s home until our home is fixed…so here we are paying for two households every month yet not having anywhere to really live.

I did not budget to be living this way this long in this awesome economy. We are truly financially strained. If anyone is blessed to not be struggling to make ends meet right now and feels that they would like to donate towards our situation, we would be extremely grateful.

We appreciate any thoughts and prayers you can send our way. We love all of you and hope that someday we can look back and laugh at how much life threw at us in one year.
