Help a Family Recover from Having Both Cars Stolen

It’s hard for my family to ask for help but in this situation we are looking for support. Our family spent the night at a hotel last night and woke up to both of our cars being stolen. Our journey was heading towards Texas to move our family there after months of my husband being unemployed. After an opportunity arose we packed our belongings and made plans for a trip there. My husband scraped together our savings and bought our family of six a van to take us there. My father in law was gracious enough to follow behind us in our commuter car (that we just got back from getting the bumper fixed). My kids were so excited and happy getting surprised with our new van and only having it less than a week is devastating for us. It’s heartbreaking watching my husband do everything he can to possibly take care of his family and for people to come and take what he has worked so hard for like it was nothing is unimaginable. I’m asking for support to help my family. I know I won’t get the photos of my late mom back that I was carrying in the car with me or the computers we had in the trunk for work and homeschool, but I hope with community help that some relief for my husband, myself and our family can help us move forward in the right direction.
