A young woman I know, currently living and working in the UK, is going through an incredibly heartbreaking time. Her entire family is based in Kashmir, Pakistan — including her husband and parents — and they’ve recently lost their home.

During the recent conflict between Pakistan and India, both her parents’ home and her own home with her husband were completely destroyed in the bombings. To make matters worse, her father suffered a heart attack amidst the chaos and is currently hospitalized. With no shelter and medical expenses mounting, the family is facing severe hardship.

She is doing her best to support them from the UK while also struggling to make ends meet herself. This fundraiser has been set up to help her family rebuild their homes and cover urgent medical and living expenses.

I’ve set a general target for the campaign, but please donate whatever you can — no amount is too small. Your kindness and support will bring real hope to a family that has lost so much and is trying to piece their life back together.
