Can You Help Us Stay Afloat?

Hi there,

My name is Manuel Acosta , and I'm reaching out because my family and I are facing a difficult time for the past three months .I've been blessed to be the main provider for my amazing family of seven, including our five energetic kids who range from 4 to 17 years old.

Life threw us a curveball a few months back when I was diagnosed with Bacterial Pneumonia, that end up damaging one of my lungs. While I'm incredibly grateful to be alive after spending 8 days in the ICU, As a result this illness left me with a chronic lung condition that requires constant oxygen support. Unfortunately, this means I can't return to work until my lungs heal, which doctors estimate could take anywhere from 6 to 12 months.

We've been scraping by with my sick leave and vacation time, but those have run out. My wife and I are determined to keep things going, but the truth is, we're struggling. The recent increase in our mortgage due to rising taxes and insurance has been a major blow, and the medical bills keep piling up. Right now, putting food on the table and keeping a roof over our heads is our biggest worry.

The stress of this situation is tough on all of us, especially the kids. Seeing their worried faces is the hardest part ,especially when they saw the garbage truck took our garage trash can  because we can even pay the bill for that. 

We need help with our mortgage: The unexpected increase to $2600 a month is a huge burden.

Medical bills are passing the $5000 dollars and  are adding up quickly.

We also need Everyday essentials: Food, clothing, utilities – every little bit helps.

¿Puedes Ayudarnos a Mantenernos a Flote? Hola, Mi nombre es Manuel Acosta y me dirijo a ustedes porque mi familia y yo estamos atravesando un momento difícil desde hace tres meses. He tenido la bendición de ser el principal proveedor de mi increíble familia de siete, incluyendo a nuestros cinco enérgicos hijos, que tienen entre 4 y 17 años. La vida nos dio un golpe hace unos meses cuando me diagnosticaron Neumonía Bacteriana, que terminó dañando uno de mis pulmones. Aunque estoy increíblemente agradecido de estar vivo después de pasar 8 días en la UCI, esta enfermedad me dejó con una condición pulmonar crónica que requiere apoyo constante de oxígeno. Desafortunadamente, esto significa que no puedo volver a trabajar hasta que mis pulmones sanen, lo cual los doctores estiman podría tomar entre 6 a 12 meses. Hemos estado subsistiendo con mi baja por enfermedad y tiempo de vacaciones, pero esos se han agotado. Mi esposa y yo estamos decididos a mantener las cosas en marcha, pero la verdad es que estamos luchando. El reciente aumento en nuestra hipoteca debido al incremento de impuestos y seguros ha sido un gran golpe, y las facturas médicas siguen acumulándose. En este momento, poner comida en la mesa y mantener un techo sobre nuestras cabezas es nuestra mayor preocupación. El estrés de esta situación es duro para todos nosotros, especialmente para los niños. Ver sus rostros preocupados es la parte más difícil, especialmente cuando vieron que el camión de basura se llevó nuestro cubo de basura porque ni siquiera podemos pagar esa factura. Necesitamos ayuda con nuestra hipoteca: El inesperado aumento a $2600 al mes es una carga enorme. Las facturas médicas están superando los $5000 dólares y se acumulan rápidamente. También necesitamos lo esencial de cada día: Comida, ropa, servicios públicos – cualquier pequeña ayuda es bienvenida.
