I am writing this worried about the safety of my immediate family members in Afghanistan. I am raising money to assist and seek aid for a family of 9, a woman and her children trying to escape under the Taliban rule. This tragic event affects many of us and our families as thousands of Afghans suffering cannot flee the country. This fundraiser is intended to overcome any financial barriers that could stand in the way of this family getting out of Afghanistan and finding shelter in a safe country. All funds collected will be given to the family directly. Our immediate goal is to help them find safe refuge in a neighboring country and cover secure travel costs, food, water, nourishment, and other temporary financial relief. We are hopeful that these donations will help them find a permanent residence to begin to build a life they want to be true.

We remain hopeful that we will be able to help them but need your help if you are in the position to contribute. If they cannot get out of the country and financial institutions lose the ability to receive money from abroad, the funds will then be kept as a means of reserve for as long as it will last. My heart is broken for the millions of Afghans that are experiencing the same devastation. Thank you for your time in reading this.
