Help a kind, hardworking family who need a helping hand

Hi, my name is Ian, and together with my wife and our three wonderful children, we are reaching out to ask for your support in creating a new chapter for our family. We are a loving, caring, and kind family, just like so many others, facing the ups and downs of life. Among our children, two have additional needs, and both my wife and I live with anxiety and depression, which adds to the challenges we face daily.
We’ve worked tirelessly since leaving school, but the weight of stress and feeling undervalued in traditional work environments has taken its toll on our health and happiness. That’s why we’re striving to take a brave step towards a calmer, more balanced lifestyle by starting a home crafting business.
now enough of the little violin!
Crafting has always been our passion—a creative outlet that brings joy, peace, and connection to our lives. With your help, we hope to turn this passion into a sustainable business that not only supports our family but also enriches our local community. The idea is to sell our handmade products both locally and online, while also sharing our crafting knowledge by hosting short courses for home education groups and others in the community.
Our dream is simple: to build a business where we can achieve a healthy work-life balance, provide for our family, and spread the contentment we’ve found in crafting to those around us. Every little contribution brings us closer to this goal, whether it’s helping us with the initial costs of materials, tools, and equipment, or simply sharing our story with others.
The money we raise will be to purchase the following equipment
Laser-pecker engraving machine
Wood lathe
Planer thicknesser
Hand woodworking tools
Craft materials
Small CNC wood cutting machine
Also to pay for us to attend short courses for traditional crafts such as basket weaving
Thank you for taking the time to read our story and for supporting us in any way you can. Your kindness means the world to us.
