Help a Family in Need with Medical Bills

I have known this family for over 15 years. They are the most loving and unselfish people on this planet. On November 17, Luana shared that her mother, Monika, had suffered a devasting fall and was hospitalized with severe injuries. Luana called me today and was so overwhelmed. She wanted to help her mom but didn't know of a way to do more than what she is doing. She knows this is only the beginning, especially now that they know they need to address so many different issues. So I made this GoFund in hopes of helping them. The medical bills are piling up and with the holidays around the corner, it doesn't look like this family will have a holiday to celebrate. Anything to help will be greatly appreciated. Let's make sure they are covered and help them take care of their beloved matriarch. Here is their story:

"My mom, Monika, fell down the super steep driveway at our house 3 days ago. It has been a roller coaster ever since. She was diagnosed with quite an extensive list. NOT only did she fall, but she crawled from outside to the inside out of our house... (if you have been here, you know it is quite a walk), and then crawled upstairs. She CRAWLED up the stairs, like a toddler. She was in shock and could barely respond. I did pre-preliminary checks and called Patrick(my husband/firefighter), who rushed to get home from his 2nd job. Once Patrick arrived, he confirmed everything I had seen. We both thought Mom needed to go to the ER. Mom, being mom, refused to go. The fact that she does not have medical insurance is a part of the reason why she was choosing no to go. She knows we are taking care of her financially, and she also knows the cost associated with hospital visits.

However, at the time, that did not matter at all to us. Mom needed medical attention. Patrick finally measured her blood pressure, which was super high!!! Like WHAT the crazy? That is when we knew we would be kidnapping my mom for a trip to the ER. Other than her blood pressure, mom had severe bruising of the hips, her knee was raw, and the hematoma on her head... HUGE. We feared she might have had a skull fracture or brain bleed. Patrick suggested we call an ambulance... BUT once again, the cost scared my mom on behalf of me and Patrick. We work a total of 6 separate jobs. Mom was immensely sore from the fall and Patrick could not pick her up without hurting her. We headed to the ER after Cobb station 14 helped bring her down the stairs with their special little chair. We loaded up into the car and left on our adventure to get mom well. We were fearful that mom would have to go into the hospital alone and would need a translator. Thankfully, I was able to be with her through it all. That was a blessing.
