Help a Family in Need: Home & Car Repairs

Hi, my name is Tosha, and I’m reaching out for help during a really tough time for my family.

I moved to Florida to help care for my mom as she’s gotten older, but this year has been especially hard. She broke her left hip in May and her right hip in August, leaving her unable to work and in need of constant care. While taking care of her, I’ve also been managing the needs of my two disabled children, whom I homeschool due to their disabilities.

Our mobile home has suffered from damage we couldn’t afford to fully repair. While we managed to fix the leaking roof by spending everything we had, we still need to replace ruined ceiling panels, insulation, and parts of the floor that are unsafe. If anyone can help with donations of materials or labor, we would be deeply grateful.

In addition to home repairs, we’re also facing an urgent issue with our car, which is our only transportation. It needs repairs, and with frequent medical appointments for my children, some of which are hours away, we can’t afford to be without it. I’ve attached the mechanic’s estimate to show the costs.

I’m a single mom, a survivor of domestic violence, and I’m disabled myself. Despite these challenges, I work hard to provide for my family and give my kids the best life I can. But right now, we need a little extra help.
