My name is Elizabeth and I’m creating this fundraiser on behalf of a co-worker who is raising money for her family in St. James, Jamaica. They have have lost everything to Hurricane Melissa.

"The storm swept through our community with unimaginable force — tearing off roofs, flooding homes, and destroying the small businesses that supported our families for so long. What took years to build was gone in a single night."

Her family’s homes are now unlivable and they were forced to evacuate. Walls collapsed, belongings were washed away, and their businesses— the main source of income — are now completely gone. They are grateful to be alive and are determined to rebuild from the ground up.

Right now, the greatest needs are safe shelter, food, clean water, and rebuilding materials.

Every donation will go directly toward:

Repairing and rebuilding damaged homes

Replacing lost business equipment and supplies

Providing food and clean water for displaced family members

Supporting the community
