"Help a Family in Crisis: Immigration case and House Fire”

Hello! My name is Jimena, and I’m a teacher at Lorain. I’m reaching out with a heavy heart to ask for your support. One of my student’s mother was detained by immigration in June, despite having lived in the U.S. for 16 years, working hard and having no criminal record. She is a single mother. Her family is now facing overwhelming legal and court-related expenses. As if that weren’t enough, tragedy struck again when their home was severely damaged in a fire on July 4th. This family is going through an incredibly difficult time,my student is facing a very stressful and sad situation and any contribution—no matter how small—can make a meaningful difference.
