Help a Family in Crisis: Fighting Cancer Together

Two weeks ago, I found out that my stage IV breast cancer had spread from my bones to my liver. “Scattered lesions” is how the pathologist described it. I did my best not to cry, but I failed. My faith in God is strong…but I’m only human.

My husband’s knees went weak as I told him. My daughters’ face went red. My mom went silent. My oncologist said, “We have to leave it up to God now.” But I’m choosing to fight.

I’ve been admitted to Memorial Hospital for a week now. I am fighting for my life.

My husband’s job is commission-only, and we are in the middle of the ‘slow season.’ It allows him to be at my side when I need him most, but it does not help us afford bills, food, or bare necessities.

So now I am here, asking you for your prayers — and if you have it — financial assistance. The stress of money will only make my fight harder, so I am asking you to help me at my darkest hour.

The money will be used to pay for rent, electricity, water, insurance, phone, internet, and groceries for this and the next couple of months. If you’d feel more comfortable paying a bill directly, I can do so and immediately send you the receipt as proof.
