Support a Mother’s Fight to Save Her Leg
Donation protected
Dear friends,
I’m Ronali, reaching out with an urgent plea for my dear friend Niluka in Sri Lanka.
Niluka is a hardworking mother of three who is now facing a heartbreaking crisis. She has developed a severe foot infection that has turned into gangrene. Doctors have told her that unless it improves very soon, they will have no choice but to amputate her leg.
The truth is, Niluka got to this point because she never stopped working—even when she was in pain. She didn’t tell anyone how bad it was. Like so many mothers, she just kept going, putting her family first and pushing through until she simply couldn’t anymore.
Right now, doctors are giving her one last chance. They’ve started intense daily treatment to try to save her leg. But it costs around £40 per day—just for the basic wound care and injections. These treatments need to continue daily, and they are essential.
Her husband, Ajantha, has had to cut back on work to take her to the hospital and care for their children. They’re doing everything they can, and we’re helping as much as possible—but they need support.
Your donation will go directly to help with:
• Daily treatment to try to save Niluka’s leg
• Hospital and medical costs
• Essential living expenses while Ajantha cares for her
Anything you can give—even a small amount—will help lift some of the burden from this family’s shoulders. And if you can’t donate, please share this message.
If anyone would like to speak directly with Niluka, her doctors, or offer any medical advice or support, please don’t hesitate to reach out. We’re more than happy to share details.
Thank you so much for your kindness, compassion, and support.
