I’m posting this because there are a lot of people that are being seriously taken advantage of. What is being done to them is so corrupt and illegal and they have no one to fight for them / don’t have a voice.

About a year ago I found a local family that was homeless outside of Brickell city center. It was a mom who has a kids and was out on the streets with her children ... struggling and looking for help. This lady is extremely hardworking and an absolute fighter. They weren’t on the streets from drugs or other problems. I put them in a hotel for the night and gave her my phone number and didn’t think I’d hear from her again but she followed up consistently and listened to the steps I gave her to get her back on her feet.

She got a job and eventually we got her into some housing. Since they moved in though- the conditions have become unbearable (see some of these photos)

I am raising money to help this family get back into a healthy / livable situation. I’ve given her a few thousand dollars to help her originally get into a home and to help her kids have basic necessities for school like clothes and laptops- but they need more help than I can give right now and I just want to get them out of this house so they don’t keep getting sick...

I also wanted to get this story out there to expose this scumbag landlord that is taking advantage of low income people in such a heinous way.
