Amani's family needs our help and support to evacuate Gaza

Donation protected
My name is Hanae Boutayeb, I live in France, and I am launching this fundraiser on behalf of my friend who lives in Gaza. Her name is Amani.

The purpose of this fundraiser is to provide financial assistance to Amani’s family for a humanitarian evacuation. The funds will be used to cover the fees to cross to Egypt (estimated to 5000$ per person).
The family includes 18 members; however, the priority will be for members with special health conditions (part of the donations will be used to ensure medicines).
Thanks in advance for all your donations and support for Amani’s family. Hopefully we will help them to reach safety after months of endless horrors and cruelty.

Here is Amani’s story:

"Hello empathetic souls,
During the cold and chaos that has befallen Gaza, I reach out to you with a heavy and broken heart to help me and my family to seek a way out of the war in Gaza.
We are living in harsh days, where we were forced to leave our houses and displace in tents with a complete cut-off of basic life without shelter, food or water.

Losing someone you love is the most heartbreaking thing. My brother was bombed and turned into small pieces in front of our eyes, and we couldn’t bury him, I’m scared to death to lose more of my beloved family.

My name’s Amani, I’m 42 years old, I’m a Palestinian from Gaza, I live with my big family now: my mum, my sister and my brother and his family. I used to live a happy life with my family but now we are living a catastrophic humanitarian situation, extreme shortage of food, water, and medical supplies.

On 13th of Oct:
Me and my family were sleeping, suddenly the roof fell on our heads, we were under the rubble, screaming in pain injured and no air to breath. I couldn’t find my husband, my kids. I was horrified and couldn’t think of a way-out. Thankfully after three hours we were out injured through fire, bombardment and dead bodies all over our destroyed building. We were saved but we couldn’t get any of our belongings. When we were at the hospital we received a call to evacuate to the south of Gaza, so we were forced to leave to Khan Younis where we spent 80 days of horror and starvation, then the bombardment and the killing increased in Khan Younis so we were forced to leave to Rafah where we are living now in a tent with bare minimum of access to water, food or the minimum basic needs.

I have three daughters and one son “Rama 14, Dana12, Mohammad 8 and Jumana 5yrs.” They used to be very brilliant at school, but now they are devastated and scared to die at any moment.
Moreover, I’m suffering from diabetes and nerves diseases and I’m in a lack of medication and medical care.
My brother Abd Alrahman 37 yrs. who I mentioned before was bombed when he heard a nearby bombardment, he went to help his neighbors and victims, but he didn’t know that he will be the victim.
He was killed and left three little boys” Omar 8, Deya 6 and Mahmoud 3 yrs.” and a wife “Alaa 29 yrs.” She’s suffering from heart disease with lack of medication. They are still in the north of Gaza and can’t escape from there. They are living a very harsh days and forced to leave their house to live in schools and tents.

My other brother Ramadan is 38 years old, he was also forced to escape from his house with his wife and his five kids, when he received a call to evacuate to the south of Gaza, he left with his family including my mum and my youngest sister.
They escaped to Al-Nuseirat camp and lived in a small tent for 53 days with no basic needs. When the bombardment increased and he almost lost his son, he escaped to Rafah to live in a tent.

My mum (Inaam, 70yo) is suffering from diabetes , blood pressure and heart disease, and she needs urgent medical treatment and medication. She is at risk of death from all the surrounding circumstances.

Now, we are gathered in Rafah in a small, crowded tent with the whole family members, desperate to get our life back.
My brother has a creative daughter, her name’s Batool “10 yrs.”, she loves drawing and she’s good at it, she hoped to live a normal safe life and to be an artist in the future, but because of the war in Gaza she doesn’t think she will stay alive. She said she keeps drawing to express her fear and her drawings might show others what she feels if she’s bombed.

The family includes 18 members: “Amani’s family “Amani 42 years, Rama 14, Dana 12, Mohammed 8, and Jumana 5, Ramadan’s family: Ramadan 39, Amani “his wife 38, Ayman 15, Batool 10, Reem 9, Mohannad 8 and Mohammad 3yrs”, Abd AlRahman’s family:” Alaa 29 years, Omar 8, Deya 6 and Mahmoud 3 years. Mums’ family: “mum Inaam 70 years and my sister Salsabeel 28 years”.
We are at risk of dying at any second, if not from bombs, it will be from starvation, dehydration, or disease. We are thankful for any donation and support to help us evacuate through Egypt".
