Help a family find home

Like many low income families during this difficult time, ours became homeless last month after the landlord terminated our lease. I'm a disabled single parent of two on section 8; my kids are 6 and 17. Because of rent hikes and a lack of affordable housing, our section 8 voucher no longer qualifies us for housing.

My kindergartener is a budding reader and artist who loves his teacher and classmates. My 17 year old is an aspiring counselor; after struggling with and overcoming chemical dependencies, she graduates high school this year. While we hope to move back South for its lower cost of living, I intend to remain in the area for my kids to finish their school year.

I'm hoping to raise money for gas, food, medicine, the cost of temporary housing, storage, and moving costs. I'm a queer, genderfluid poet and writer with community organizing experience in trans healthcare, abortion, abolition, and transformative justice. My kids are heartful, brave, and resilient, and we have much more to do and give than bare survival. Any help through this transition is greatly appreciated.
