My landlord has recently decided to alter our lease, adding 1000 a month in rent. Being a family who lives pay check to pay check we are obviously not going to be able to afford this hike.

We have made many major repairs, never had even a single late payment in 8+ years, also we still had almost three years left on the original lease agreement.

I am going to have to move, which I believe is the goal of the increase. My goal is that we have to find a new place and move all while I am still on disability and getting treatment for Dysautonomia, Elher's Danlos Syndrome, and Congestive Heart Failure. Obviously I'll need assistance in moving my family to a new home, I also would like to possibly raise enough to put a down payment on a home to purchase, one of our own and not have to worry about renting anymore.

I am going to need help, we had found a house in the price range but credit will probably be a problem unless I can get a substantial down payment. The home was listed for 280,000, close to the absolute cheapest we could find in our area as to not have to disrupt my children's lives as much as possible.
