Help Juliana fight Cancer

Donation protected
Hi, I’m Diana. The kid you see in the picture is my daughter, Juliana. She’s an amazing 13-year-old kid breezing through this thing we call life.  Three weeks ago, Juliana was taken to the pediatrician’s office for a routine visit.  During that visit, Juliana  expressed pain on her hip. Her pediatrician suggested an x-ray to rule out any abnormalities.  After that x-ray came back unclear, the dr. suggested that we go straight to the emergency room at Cornell hospital.  After more x-rays, a CT scan, and an MRI  I was told that the “growing pains” symptom she was experiencing was actually a tumor.   That doctor‘s appointment should have only lasted 30 minutes. Three weeks later,  Juliana was diagnosed with chondroblastic osteosarcoma -better known as bone cancer. It’s only been three weeks, and she’s already undergone two surgeries. Osteosarcoma tends to spread like wild fire. Doctors  suggested she receive another CT scan, pet scan and another chest x-ray just to make sure the cancer had not spread.  The results of those scans were two dots appearing in her lungs. My days and nights are filled with prayers and hope that these two dots are not tumors. But because the dots are so unclear, the doctors decided to start her with an aggressive treatment  . For the next 40 weeks, Juliana will receive chemotherapy, in 10 weeks a major surgery to remove the dying tumor - assuming the chemo is doing its thing , Physical therapy, and more chemotherapy after that. I’ve never seen my kid so terrified. She’s never stepped foot in a hospital prior to all of this -so I completely understand her fear. Juliana Is about to fight her biggest battle.   For the last 13 years I’ve tried to raise a happy ,loving child. And for the next 40 weeks, she will be turned into a warrior.  In the last three weeks, I’ve learned a lot.  I’ve learned that the system we work for is not fair.  I’ve learned that Her medical coverage will eventually end. Everything is a process or a waiting list.  While her life and my life is at a halt, expenses aren’t. I spent hours on the phone ,however, the people on the other end  don’t understand that at this moment, I just can’t. This is where you come in. I am asking for your help so I can keep afloat. I am asking for help because When Juliana  beats this cancer - because she will , She returns to a home where she can resume being a normal 13 year old. She deserves that.

I set the goal of 100k - anything that surpasses this goal will be donated to the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center.  There’s so much that needs to be done for these children going through this horrible disease. Everyday  that I’m at the hospital, I look for ways that I can contribute to the wellness of these families. Right now donating back to the place that will save my daughter seems like the way to go. - please be a part of this movement.

I cannot thank you enough for taking the time to read this post. No action or words will ever be enough  to express my gratitude on the prayers and/or donation you give. I send you my love and appreciation. Thank you ❤️
