Mother and Children Facing Homelessness

A mother of 4, working two jobs seven days a week is currently facing homelessness despite her best efforts. She needs $6500 to avoid eviction and to stabilize her housing. Two of the children have serious mental health issues, and the mom has heart issues and high blood pressure. The father abandoned the family by moving back to his country. The mom has worked two jobs to support the family. After losing her longtime private caregiver job at the end of 2023 when her client passed away, the family refused to pay her the balance of her wages. She quickly fell behind on rent. Her car was also stolen during this time, adding to the hardship. Though she later found work, she was laid off again due to funding issues. Despite these setbacks, she helped her youngest daughter graduate high school and get into college. Her daughter has paused her education to help support the family.

However, due to ongoing financial strain, they were evicted in late 2024 and have since been moving between temporary housing. The current temporary space is coming to an end. They are in urgent need of financial assistance to help secure stable housing. Any support, big or small, is deeply appreciated. Thank you for your time and consideration.
