Please support a family after a horrific head on collision

On Friday, May 2, 2025, a devastating head-on collision, caused by the reckless driving of two teenagers, forever changed the lives of Jelena, a devoted mother, and her twelve year old son, on the way to a school function.

Jelena is currently in critical condition, fighting for her life in the ICU, while her son has sustained multiple injuries and broken bones and faces a long road to recovery. Jelena is unconscious, with suspected brain damage, a collapsed lung, broken hip and bones.

The family’s world has been turned upside down. They moved to America just three years ago to start a new life filled with hope. Dad is the sole breadwinner for the family, and has had to stop working to be by their side. They don't have many earthly possessions and don't have any family in America for support. The family is grappling with overwhelming medical bills, living expenses, and the urgent need for a new vehicle that is wheel-chair accessible.

The family live in Hastings, Nebraska. Dad and their youngest son (7), have been driving between Hastings and Lincoln and Omaha daily to stand by his son and wife. The emotional toll on this young family has been overwhelming. We would like to support them with the financial burden of medical bills, living expenses while dad is on unpaid leave, and for ongoing long-term care that Jelena may need.
