Hurricane season starts June 1. I’m writing this from a broken- down camper. I have no where else to go. Please help me reach $4,500 by June 15. I’m a 60-year-old disabled widow in Florida, living in a broken-down camper with 9 rescue animals while trying to rebuild a hurricane damaged, gutted 1977 mobile home by herself.
I have already survived the crippling loss of my husband of 35 years, financial devastation, multiple disabilities, and the daily struggle of making do with almost nothing. The place where I am living in is not safe, and Florida hurricane season officially runs from June 1 through November 30.
My 1977 mobile home has been gutted due to previous Hurricane Milton damage and needs urgent repairs before the storms arrive. I’m doing everything I can with my own hands, but I cannot finish it alone. The goal is to raise $31,700 for materials, labor, safety repairs, and basic living conditions so I can move out of the failing camper and into a secure home.
Funds will help with:
* Roofing and structural repairs
* Flooring, walls, insulation, and basic interior rebuilding
* Electrical and plumbing work
* Windows, doors, weatherproofing, and hurricane preparation
* Materials, tools, dump fees, and emergency safe shelter needs
This is not about comfort or luxury. It is about safety, dignity, and survival before the storms come.
Every donation helps put a roof over my head, walls around me, and bring hope back into a life that has been stretched far beyond what one person should have to carry alone.
Please donate, share, or help connect me with anyone who can provide building materials, skilled labor, transport, or animal-safe supplies.
$25 buys small supplies like screws, sealant, or wood filler.
$75 helps with insulation, plywood, or storm-prep materials.
$150 helps toward flooring, wall panels, or basic repairs.
$500 sponsors a major repair day.
$1,000+ helps cover professional labor, electrical, plumbing, or roofing needs.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING!
