I'm a disabled veteran who is struggling to get my license back. Due to the high cost of living and the cost of the program I need to take in order to get my license back, I have tried every avenue, called any and every organization that could help, and they have turned me away as it is mandatory that I take the class in order to get my license back.

I got hurt in battle and was prescribed muscle relaxers at the time and was charged with an OUI a few years back. I don't drink or do drugs, but apparently, any medication that says 'use caution when operating heavy machinery' means in my state that you can and will be charged with an OUI regardless of the circumstances.

• I would like to go back to work, gain my independence back, and provide for myself and my family. The course costs $500 towards it. I have to pay a reinstatement fee of about $200. I just need help,I'm desperate and scared for what my future holds. I have a 100 personally saved up. I'm looking at losing the very little that I do have. They have had the government shutdown and live in a rural state with not many opportunities. I never thought I would see myself starting a GoFundMe, but I'm at the point in my life where I have nothing else to lose and have a really hard time asking for help if anyone donates to my "cause".
