Help a Veteran & family Recover from Hurricane Helene
Donation protected
Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,
My name is Joshua Vaughan, and I am a disabled veteran residing in Spruce Pine, North Carolina. Recently, our community was devastated by Hurricane Helene, leaving many of us struggling to recover. Unfortunately, my family and I have faced additional challenges on top of the storm's destruction.
As a wheelchair-bound veteran, I have always prided myself on my resilience and ability to overcome obstacles. However, the flooding caused by the hurricane has left our home in disrepair, and we find ourselves in a difficult situation. Water damage is forceing us to rip out essential parts of our home, including flooring, and has to be sprayed for black mold and I have COPD & Emphysema
Despite our best efforts to seek assistance, both my insurance and FEMA have denied our claims, leaving us without the financial support we desperately need to rebuild our lives. The weight of this situation has been overwhelming, and we fear that without help, we may not be able to restore our home to a safe and livable condition.
We are reaching out to you, our community and compassionate supporters, for help. Your generous donations will be used to cover the costs of repairs, replacement of damaged items, and making our home accessible again. Every contribution, no matter how small, will make a significant impact in our recovery journey.
We understand that times are tough for many, and if you're unable to donate to us, sharing our story with others would mean the world to us. Your support can help us regain a sense of normalcy and stability in our lives.
Thank you for taking the time to read our story. We are grateful for any assistance you can provide and for the love and support from our community during this challenging time.
With heartfelt gratitude,
Joshua & Bettyann Vaughan
