I’m reaching out for help on behalf of a disabled veteran who’s caring for four rescue dogs. (Who saved who, right?)
He’s been through a lot recently—he was in the hospital for quite a while battling a stubborn infection after having an esophageal cyst removed. When he finally came home, he was met with a new challenge: a severe flea infestation that’s affecting both him and his pups.
These sweet dogs—and their devoted human—need a little extra support right now.
Here’s what we’re trying to accomplish:
✅ Treatment Plan:
• A 3-week course of Capstar (one dose per dog each week)
• Multiple medicated baths for all four dogs
• Full house deep-cleaning to eliminate fleas and eggs
• Daily comb-throughs with flea combs to remove fleas manually
✅ Supplies Needed:
• Capstar (sufficient for 4 dogs for 3 weeks)
• Flea combs
• Tweezers (for any stubborn fleas)
• Benadryl (vet-approved dosing for allergic reactions or itching)
• Cleaning supplies (vacuum bags, flea spray, laundry soap, etc.)
• dog-safe medicated shampoo
I’m volunteering my time to help bathe the dogs, clean, and administer treatments—but we can’t do it without these supplies.
If you’d like to help, donations of supplies, funds or even time would be deeply appreciated.
Even sharing this post helps us get closer to a flea-free home for these pups and their veteran hero.
Thank you so much for caring. Let’s get this family back to comfort and health!
