Help a Disabled U.S. Veteran Rebuild and Recover.

Imagine a U.S. veteran who bravely served her country and is now facing unimaginable hardships. Your support can change her story. Courtney Demers is reaching out for help because she’s struggling with the basics of daily life and could use a community that cares.

After dedicating herself to her country, she’s now facing overwhelming financial challenges. Her home needs critical repairs to make it safe and accessible. Bills are piling up, debt is growing, and she’s having difficulty affording enough food for herself and her two cherished cats, who provide her with much-needed comfort. Even maintaining auto insurance has become a burden, threatening her independence.

She has been diagnosed with Persistent Depressive Disorder (formerly dysthymia), a long-term form of depression that causes low mood, low self-esteem, and chronic fatigue. She also struggles with severe anxiety and PTSD, worsened by military service and being a victim of domestic violence. These mental health challenges are compounded by agoraphobia, making it difficult for her to leave home.

Her primary physical disability is TMJ (temporomandibular joint dysfunction), which causes daily pain, migraines, and muscle tightness in her head, neck, and shoulders. Despite physical therapy, the pain is unrelenting and prevents her from working a full-time job.

With your help, we can:

Make essential home repairs so she can live in a safe and functional space.

Cover basic expenses like utilities, auto insurance, and debt payments to relieve some of her financial stress.

Ensure there’s enough food and essentials for her and her pets.

Every donation you make, no matter the size, will directly impact her path to regaining stability. If you can’t donate, sharing this campaign can still make an incredible difference. Let’s show this veteran that she isn’t alone and that we honor her service by standing beside her now. Thank you for your compassion and support.
