Help a disabled transwoman afford a mobility aid
Donation protected
Hi! I’m Nico! I’m a disabled trans-woman, and I’m raising money for a power chair. I was born with a condition called Cerebral Palsy because I had a stroke in utero. This greatly impacts my mobility on my entire left side, affects my balance, and causes a tremendous amount of chronic pain all over my body. In addition to Cerebral Palsy, I have also had COVID 4 times, and my energy levels are much lower than they used to be. I also started experiencing dizziness and lightheadedness when standing since my COVID infections.
Walking and standing increase my pain and fatigue drastically, and without a wheelchair, it is extremely difficult to keep up with working, housework, errands, and generally getting myself around throughout the day. Without a wheelchair, I am forced to make sacrifices and prioritize which essential activities I have the capacity for, or I am forced to temporarily push through my symptoms and suffer pain and exhaustion later. This has resulted in lost wages, poor self care, and social isolation. If I had a wheelchair, it would enable me to do more of what I need to and want to do. I will not be able to afford this important tool for my independence without help. I hope you’ll consider donating to my campaign.
Thanks so much,
Nico
