I'm Cleo and I'm a disabled trans woman from the UK saving up for bottom surgery.
It's hard to express just how dramatically undergoing surgery would change my life. Normal things like using public toilets and going to the beach leave me feeling anxious, paranoid and distressed because of my body. Bottom surgery would go a long, long way in alleviating this discomfort.
I have put the price at £24,000 because of this forum saying that gender reassignment surgery with Tina Rashid in London costs roughly this much (as of May 2025). I anticipate that this will get higher over the course of this GoFundMe, but I don't feel comfortable raising the goal even higher. This also doesn't account for costs leading up to the surgery, like permanent hair removal on the operative area.
My transition timeline:
I came out in 2020, and have been on the waiting list for the gender identity clinic since, but it is looking like it will still take many more years for me to reach the top of the waiting list just to obtain a first appointment.
I have been on hormone replacement therapy through a private shared-care agreement since September 2022.
Anything helps - even just a pound or a dollar goes a long way. Thank you :)
