One donation = one commission. If you have donated and would like a drawing in return, please contact me on Instagram (@offshootsofjupiter) or email me and we can work something out. Please be patient, though.
Hi, I'm Aaron. I'm 18, and I'm a disabled, neurodivergent, transgender male.
My mother unexpectedly lost her job in June, and we have been treading water since. She had a job lined up to start a few weeks ago, but her start date was pushed back, and we likely won't be able to make rent this month.
The landlord wants $850 by the first of October, and the second $850 by the fourteenth of October. I set the maximum goal to $1700, as we aren't sure when she's starting the job and may not have the second half.
If we don't make it, we'll have to move back into my father's house.
All photos that have been attached to this fundraiser are photos I have taken at his home. It is filled with mold and animal feces, and there are even dead bugs in the fridge and freezer. I had to live there for years, and am desperate not to go back, as it is extremely unsafe. My father has been offered help with many of these issues on multiple occasions, but has turned them down every time. He even took in a senior dog, who has only made things worse, as he isn't taken outside enough and has to go multiple times per day. It was an almost daily occurence to come home to dog feces and urine on the living room carpet. Once, while doing homework, I saw him pee twice. I was only there for about an hour. I have begged my father to buy dog diapers, which he never has.
For years, there was a large hole in my room's plaster ceiling, and some periods where rainwater would seep in from a hole in the roof and drip down into my room and onto my bed. The droplets had turned yellow with whatever they picked up. Since there was so much water that soaked into the wooden supports above my room, I have reason to believe there is mold in my room's ceiling as well.
You may think, "okay, well, why weren't you cleaning?" Well, again, the disability thing. I've only very recently been getting treatment for it. Also, why blame the child and not the parent?
Any extra money will be put into savings, for use as a college fund or emergency fund.
Thank you. Anything helps.
