Help a Disabled Single Mother Avoid Eviction

Please help a disabled single mother stay housed while awaiting social security!!

Following a severe exacerbation of my lifelong health conditions due to COVID-19 complications, I have been left unable to work since 2023. I have POTS (Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome) and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome, both of which have become increasingly debilitating. I also face additional chronic conditions, including chronic pancreatitis, a blood-clotting disorder, autism, and ADHD, which compound my challenges. As a single mother, I have exhausted all available resources to cover rent, medical expenses, and basic living costs while awaiting disability assistance.

I am now at immediate risk of eviction. I owe $3,000 in rent and other various fees the landlord tacked on, and our landlord has officially started eviction proceedings. I am actively seeking remote work that can accommodate my health needs, but finding steady income while living with complex, unpredictable conditions has been extremely difficult. I have also applied for every local aid program, housing vouchers/public housing, and nonprofit resource available; unfortunately, waitlists are years long, and funding is limited in our area.

I am asking for $5,000 to cover the past due rent and other fees, utilities, and immediate expenses so that I can avoid eviction, keep our home, and stabilize financially. This would allow me to stay in my current apartment, keep my family safe, and get back on my feet. I am committed to, and will absolutely be able to make rent going forward. It is just getting caught up that we need help with and this assistance would give us the vital support we need to stay housed while I continue pursuing social security and remote work.
