HELP A DISABLED QUEER AVOID EVICTION

Donation protected

I am a queer, trans, disabled person living with my partner (a queer POC) in a rural area. I have been homeless in the past, and struggled with food scarcity, addiction, and mental health. I finally settled down in a rented house this year, and I don't want to lose my home or compromise my safety. Winter is already here where we are, and the nights get as cold as -10 degrees. We will not be able to survive if we get evicted, so we need help paying our rent and other bills.

I have a credit card with a limit of 6000$. Since the beginning of Covid-19 we have both been unemployed, and I have been using that credit card to pay all of our bills, including rent when needed. For a while I was able to pay off the bill in full, or in part, and things were more under control. However, we have essentially been living on this small amount of credit for months. We are both unemployed; my partner lost his regular kitchen job due to covid-19, and I am a self employed individual who works several odd jobs usually, but most of those have disappeared due directly to covid-19's impact. I am disabled and immunocompromised, which makes it hard for me to work jobs usually, but even more so in a pandemic. Many income opportunities that used to be available to me (and therefore my partner) are no longer an option because of the risk they pose in the current pandemic environment.

Despite this we are still actively searching for jobs, remote and otherwise, and pursuing every acenue of income. My partner has been applying to upwards of 5 jobs a day, but still has not found anything. I have found income here and there from odd jobs for friends or remote work, but nothing regular or at all dependable.

We both have been receiving PUA (pandemic unemployment assistance) from the government, which between the two of us covers EXACTLY the cost of our rent (1800$ a month). PUA ends on December 26th and without it we will be unable to pay the largest portion and most important of our bills; rent, or will have to decide between eating, keeping the lights and heat on, and other necessary things. It is an extremely stressful situation that is steadily getting worse.

I created this gofundme as an emergency relief for the bills that have piled up. I have 6100$ on my credit card (it is fully maxxed out and currently frozen). All of it is ESSENTIAL bills that have been charged over the last several months.  My goal when I started this gofundme was to try and pay it down as much as possible using this fund, and then live off it as we continue to job search. However, as things have progressed, it has become clear to me that we could be in for several more months of this. Therefore, I have decided it would be most beneficial to our situation to pay only the minimum balance on the maxxed out credit card every month, and utilize this fund to pay our rentand utilities as needed, and also put away for future bills, if possible. Essentially, we need donations to make sure we have a financial resource available to make bill and rent payments, while continuing to search for jobs and stable dependable income.

I will be updating this and my twitter as often as possible to talk about where we are financially, and will of course close this fund down whenever we are no longer in dire need, however I am guessing the next few months will be more of the same, and without unemployment assistance it will be much harder, which is why we need your help.
