EMERGENCY FUNDING for housing for our disabled family of 3!

EMERGENCY FUNDING FOR HOUSING-My disabilities have escalated and I have recently lost my ability to work. We have been forced to be off grid with water in the house we are in now but without the proper support. We have to physically go to a gas station every 2-3 days, sometimes more, to have water to shower, do dishes and flush our toilets. We have reached out to many non profits, no one can help us they just tell us to go to a shelter...that's not a solution, to tell us to go be homeless. I spent a year homeless with my teenager, due to escaping domestic violence.

I'm a Black/Indigenous Queer mom, survivor of child trafficking and was also trafficked as an adult. This extreme abuse left me disabled. My teenager is autistic and they have their emotional support dog. I'm finally free from abuse and safe with my child and our loving partner who is also a survivor of DV. They live with fibromyalgia and other physical disabilities which makes it impossible to work. I’m currently in the process of rebuilding my businesses that my abuser destroyed as part of his domestic violence.

We currently live in a house that is not under our name that is falling apart. The amount of work we have to do every couple of days to function in this house is breaking down our bodies physically. We are asking for the full amount because both adults are disabled and cannot work. We are applying for help but that could take years and we may still be denied. Both of us are survivors of domestic violence, and that included financial abuse. Our credit was destroyed and we do not currently have an income to get ahead. When we move into this new and forever housing situation, with the disability friendly off grid water set up and solar, we will have to pay next to nothing monthly with utilities. With the little bit of money we get monthly from resources and food access we have, we can live with peace of mind of not being homeless ever again! Please understand: We cannot afford our monthly living expenses until we have this land and home! Even with repairs to the current house, we cannot afford to stay here!!! It's a very intense situation because in order to afford our monthly expense, we need this very big expense that we can't afford, leaving our disabled family in a very stuck situation because of our disabilities that we have no control over!! This society is not set up to help people like us and we are stressed and devasted trying to find our way out of this, so we are here asking for your help, please! We are not lazy, we are disabled! It is so brutal to have survived child trafficking and trafficking in my teen and adult years, abusive relationships who took advantage of our love and left us with less than what we came into the relationship with, spent a year homeless and being dehumanized and psychologically and emotionally abused by homeless shelters, to now face this. I'm so exhausted. Please help us. I'm in tears writing this, I have worked so hard in my life to be left here in this situation. I just don't know what else to do but to appeal to the humanity of my fellow human beings, to those who can truly patron our disabled family of 3. I have a fever today and I have to go drive 20mins to get the water because it doesn't matter how I feel. I have to fight agoraphobia and intense somatics to get there and back to make sure our family has water and do it again in the next 3-4 days. No one should have to live like this. Please put yourself(selves) in our shoes and imagine if this was your life. Our little family is finally safe and happy together and this is the final thing we need to be able to pour back into others with our non profit we created to help those in situations like us. But I cannot pour that bit onto others without our family having this existential need finally met. I can't pour from an empty cup, as they say. And there's so much I want to do to feed and help others. If I am to advocate for people, I need to start with self advocacy first. Please hear us.

Please help us have a home that is ours and disability friendly and where we can live sustainably so we never have to be homeless again!

Here's what your donations will cover:

$60K raw land
$140K for mobile home
$30K for septic tank and well if possible, or for an off grid water set up
$5K for setting up electricity for the plot
$20K for solar panels and electrician to set up the solar power system
$10K for moving and getting furniture
plus money to cover Gofundme fees

We will finally be able to be independent when this housing is put in place. I believe in the power of community and self advocacy and am reaching out for support to get our family there.

Anything over this amount will cover any unexpected costs we encounter on the land or with the housing. We may also be able to get a dependable used SUV and invest in other disability needs, including time for respite to heal from the abuse we've survived.

We have been researching this lifestyle for years and being disabled having amenities off grid is far more financially realistic for us and being able to be as sustainable as possible will fit our cost of living. With this support, we will be able to pour our efforts into our non profit we created November 2025 to help those who have been forgotten, like us.

Thank you for taking the time to read this. Please share if you can. And to those who support- Thank you for changing our life.
